Homeostasis

and our ECS

Homeostasis is the bodies attempt to keep all systems stable and at certain constants.  One function that homeostasis regulates is our internal body temperature.

Thankfully we do not actively think about keeping our body temperature at 98.6, nor how often our heartbeats, or delivering oxygen to individual cells.  Our bodies automatically regulate these functions to maintain homeostasis.

Scientists uncovered a series of receptors in our body in the 1990s, while studying the effects of Cannabis in our system.

During this time, they discovered that our internal Endocannabinoid System, or ECS for short, controls and participates in our body’s homeostasis process.

They also discovered that we naturally produce our own endocannabinoids, which work with our ECS to help maintain homeostasis.

Interestingly, science has also learned that all Cannabis plants, including hemp, produce cannabinoids that work with our ECS, helping to restore balance & maintain homeostasis.

While hemp has been around for tens of thousands of years, only recently has it been understood that Cannabis plants contains at least 113 phytocannabinoids, and that they also work with our own ECS.

Phytocannabinoids are simply plant based (phyto = plant) cannabinoids, as opposed to endocannabinoids (endo = inner) which we naturally produce.

Many believe we are deficient in these endocannabinoids due to stress & other external factors.

Our pets also have an ECS system and can benefit from cannabinoids too.

Scientists estimate the ECS evolved in primitive animals over 600 million years ago.  Though not commonly taught, it is known that the ECS exists in all vertebrates including humans and mammals

If man and Cannabis have co-existed for over 10,000 years, it's not very surprising to many that we are wired to accept and utilize many of its components.

In fact, we have since learned that the hemp plant has become a natural supplement for our bodies' cannabinoid needs.  Hemp is now defined simply as any Cannabis Sativa plant with no more than 0.3% THC.

It is now believed that many people are suffering from a deficiency in endocannabinoids, due to external factors, diet and stress.

Mediation and yoga are two natural ways to help replenish the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Phytocannabinoids from a Cannabis plant, such as hemp, are another way to naturally help replenish the ECS system and bring balance to those deficiencies.

These phytocannabinoids from hemp can also be given to our pets too, since getting them to meditate & do yoga can be quite the challenge

Our Full Spectrum Hemp Flower Extracts are potent in cannabinoids & terpenes, that together can help bring balance back to our bodies and make a difference in how well we feel.
